Applied Intuition, Humain Partner on Saudi Autonomous Trucking Network

September 2, 2026 • 3 min read

Insider Brief

  • Applied Intuition and Humain announced a strategic collaboration to build a national-scale physical AI framework in Saudi Arabia, beginning with autonomous trucking.
  • The companies plan to deploy thousands of driverless trucks across major Saudi logistics corridors by 2030, with potential expansion into robotaxis ports mining and other industries.
  • Applied Intuition said its Self-Driving System Vehicle OS and related technologies will support the effort while Humain provides sovereign AI infrastructure and the partnership builds a local technical presence in Riyadh.

Applied Intuition and Humain announced a strategic collaboration to build what the companies describe as a national-scale framework for physical AI in Saudi Arabia, starting with driverless trucks.

The partnership combines Humain’s sovereign AI infrastructure in Saudi Arabia with Applied Intuition’s physical AI stack through a long-term commercial agreement, according to Applied Intuition. Humain is a company backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and focused on full-stack artificial intelligence capabilities.

Applied Intuition said the effort is intended to become the largest autonomous trucking network in the world and the first major initiative under Humain’s physical AI strategy. The first phase will focus on autonomous trucking, with plans to roll out thousands of autonomous trucks across major Saudi logistics corridors by 2030, with expansion into robotaxis, ports, mining and other industries to follow.

The companies said trucking is a natural starting point because freight networks offer a large-scale, measurable use case for AI beyond the data center.

“Autonomous trucking will change the economics of moving goods and people,” Humain CEO Tareq Amin said in the announcement. “Our goal with Applied Intuition is to make this region the first to deploy autonomous trucking at scale. Thousands of autonomous trucks operating around the clock can transform the speed, cost, and capacity of our logistics network, with a multiplier effect across economies. We have an opportunity to set a global benchmark for autonomous freight.”

Applied Intuition indicated its Self-Driving System, Vehicle OS and supporting vehicle intelligence technologies will be central to the collaboration, and noted it is already operating on roads in the U.S., Europe and Japan.

Applied Intuition said the country’s geography, freight corridors and continued investment in logistics create an opportunity to deploy autonomous trucking at significant scale. Applied Intuition has opened an office in Riyadh and is building a local technical team to support the project.

“Physical AI is the next frontier of intelligent infrastructure, and Saudi Arabia has the ambition to deploy it at unprecedented scale,” said Qasar Younis, co-founder and CEO of Applied Intuition. “Our vision with Applied Intuition is to bring intelligence to a billion machines around the world, and this is exactly the kind of national-scale deployment we built our platform to enable. We’re proud to partner with Humain to help create the future of physical AI in the country.”
